No offence but every post I’ve seen that predicts how things would go down in the event of a McElroy guesting on Critical Role (and vica versa) is… wrong. imo. lol.
The McElroys would have a panic attack on Critical Role, trying to not stuff things up. They take delight in wreaking havoc in a game where it’s just family, but the brothers wouldn’t want to mess up anyone else’s game like that. They aren’t stupid – they’d all know to play closer to the rules if they guests on Critical Role. They may need some help from who ever is sitting next to them but it wouldn’t be catastrophic. And Matt doesn’t mind having unique players at his table and tbh isn’t the stickler for the rules everyone makes out. He’ll let things slide for fun occasionally, especially for guests tbh.
What would be is any of the Critical Role players guesting on TAZ. The CR cast LOVE testing and pushing the limits of what DnD can do and they do it often with Matt – Matt just knows when to say no but rewards them for their efforts. What hell would those assholes unleash while fucking about and testing where Griffin would draw the line??? I mean, Griffin sets up his games in the way he does because he knows his family and knows how to set things up to their liking and also how to reign them in – he doesn’t know the CR cast the way he does family. And because the CR cast *do* know pure DnD rules better… They can bend them easier too. Not to mention Griffin would get the sweats because he has a very limited voice range (which is not a big deal) but… he’s playing with voice actors. And they’d be nice but also… they all like teasing bad accents and voices lol.
tldr: if any of the mcelroys guested on CR, they’d be polite and try their best!! if any of the CR cast guested on TAZ……….. they’d be a menace
